When they reached the street they went immediately to the van with the intention of getting Charlie to the Equilibrium offices asap. ‘Wheels’ drove onto the through town freeway and merged with the traffic. After some time he looked into his rear view mirror at the stream of assorted vehicles behind. Nothing unusual. Then he caught sight of a Suzuki Mirage steadily making its way towards them. Its intentions became clear as it drew alongside them and held its position. The pillion passenger kept looking at them, apparently communicating with someone. ‘Wheels’ kept his attention on the road while the other two monitored the motor cycle’s movements. ‘Wheels’, as he was known to all his friends, had had a hard day and an even harder night. His head was spinning and he decided it was time to turn in. As soon as his head hit the pillow he drifted off to sleep.
He was drowning in a dark pool. He could make nothing out. All he felt was a sense of unease, a hint of danger, an unknown threat. Yet this was not his danger, the threat was not towards him but aimed at another. A cry for help, but from who he could not tell.

A disused warehouse in the Industrial Estate area of Gibsonville was demolished in an explosion last night. The cause is as yet unexplained. A fire department spokesperson said: "This is a baffling case. There is no easily identifiable seat of the fire or any evidence to suggest that it was started deliberately. What is even more confusing is the lack of visible burning. The warehouse was unoccupied and no combustible or explosive materials have ever been stored here. It’s a mystery.
