A disused warehouse in the Industrial Estate area of Gibsonville was demolished in an explosion last night. The cause is as yet unexplained. A fire department spokesperson said: "This is a baffling case. There is no easily identifiable seat of the fire or any evidence to suggest that it was started deliberately. What is even more confusing is the lack of visible burning. The warehouse was unoccupied and no combustible or explosive materials have ever been stored here. It’s a mystery. Hey, that would be a good song title!”
In other news: The spate of gang land violence continues with the police unable or unwilling to do anything to control it. Three gangs, or crews, as they are known on the street, have been named by the authorities. These are The Skorpions, The Judges and The Thunderbirds. These are the highest profile street gangs but there are others who are, as yet, unidentified.
There have been unsubstantiated reports of a small, green animal with wings walking the streets of Gibsonville. This is the latest in a series of bizarre rumours circulating the city and its immediate area. Is it mass hysteria, a hoax or is something ‘going on’. Watch this space… |
