Thanks to Gerry for being the Umpire and bringing some common sense to this circus.

What went wrong ?

We should have had an Umpire from the start.

There were to many ambigious and poorly written scenarios.

Type 3 AFV dominated, removing the need to use tactics...just field a King Tiger and mop up the enemy.
(Its supposed to be a skirmish !)

Most of the players were noobs ( but who now have a campaign under their belt ....win or lose. smile )

Teaming up the Therians and the ONI was a bad idea, they are a great combo.

And i try too hard to win....which might be why me and Tom won. wink

Agree with you completely that we should have had an umpire from the start, which we'll no doubt learn for the next campaign .

Think the problem wasn't with the scenarios as such but with all the different players taking their own read on the scenario which having an umpire, in my opinion, will alleviate.

Did everybody field a type 3 AFV? I don't remember the UNA having the Fire Crawler on the table. I think that the Type 3 AFV's are part of the game and if people want to use them so be it. it's up to your opponent to find the tactics to deal with it and once they do it adds a whole new level to the game.

I'll concede that most of the players were noobs at AT-43 but sometimes that 's what happens, and sometimes lessons learned can be painful.

Campaigns are there to tell a story and there will always be winners and losers, but I'll agree that sometimes people get too focussed on the winning part.

Always remember an old school teacher of mine once saying that you should always be humble in victory and magnanimous in defeat, and no , it's not the wrong way round !!!! biggrin

Looking forward to the next one

Cheers

Gerry

And I am watching YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

Not everybody did, but those who did Karman and ONi, leaned heavily on them tactically.

Anyway..... also looking forward to the next one, where i will join the Red Blok as Che's 2ic. happy

I wouldn't mind a stab at the U.N.A. armies? I think Marko's moving onto the Therians as well?

I'm basing my Tau on the majority of their weapons and stats, so it would give me a better idea as too what they can do in real gameplay time? ... Walts

So which one is it.

The Karman only had the KM in one faction and the KM only graced the table three times so hardly a campaign dominator, the first two games were won for reasons other than the KM's abilities.

I dont remember Tom's games so can't comment on his type 3 usage but since his faction allowed him to use two I would assume he used them.

And how many games apart from the Caves of Doubt did the Karman take part in ?

Hi Guys ... How do u plan to use the CoGs in the FB Campaign? I'd be happy (UNA) to have them as allies, so 2 UNA & 2 CoG factions on our side? Or did u have another idea for the campaign? ... Walts

I would be more inclined to pair the humans together and the aliens together.

UNA and ONI

Karman and Cogs.

But its the players decision ......or is it ? surprised

Mmmm ... wouldn't be worth our while to tweak the maps to make some "extra" access zones? I could dabble on the images if Da' Umpire wanted too go along this path? ... Walts
