The idea is to set up a game which in some ways mimics WW1.

But using AT-43 armies. happy

So a few notes on how it might play.

# 8' x 4' table

# 5000 AP armies.

# Terrain ; trenches, barbed wire, shell holes and up to 1 ruined building or bunker per player.

# No AFV or vehicles.

# No Factions....in fact no platoon patterns at all....just 5000 AP of infantry and artillery.

# 100 AP per artillery stonk.

# Each player adds the artillery card (from the Damocles Campaign book ) to their deck.

# When the artillery card is turned, the player can fire one artillery stonk for each 3 LP spent.

# Artillery Accuracy 5+ --- RoF 1/0 --- AoE 8 cm ----- pen/dam 6/1

# Artillery special rule ; Artillery which misses, scatters 3d6 cm.

# Trenches special rule ;
Troops in trenches cannot be killed by artillery unless the shot lands in the trench.
Troops in the blast area are affected as normal for being downed.

Any thoughts or opinions welcome. smile

seems like a good idea, but you knew i was going to say that anyway tongue

"In brightest day,
in blackest night,
no evil shall escape my sight,
let those who worship evil's might,
beware my power,
Green Lantern's light!"

Yeah, it seems like it would be worth a try.

And can you use heroes ???

Hope so 'cos I worked my forces out with heroes. wink But I suppose I could just swap them for artillery strikes.

how much terrain ?

Usual 8 each but no buildings, other than ruins, just craters, quagmires for which you get movement penalties and other such things. Or should it be more 'cos it's a bigger playing area.

how many objectives ?

Break the enemy line and get units off their side of the table. If it's an attacker/defender scenario. Don't think you'd get two attackers with trench warfare, or am I just old fashioned.
