Hi Gents,
I have been asked to make a ruling on the above and wanted players thoughts and opinions
In the army builder there are a number of unofficial units that have been costed out and a number of them the points cost was provided by Rackham apparently.
In no particular order these units are Scorpio Golgoth, Storm Mammoth, Hussar II, and Hetman II
The question is this, do we want these units to be used in the game?
Cheers

IMHO ... If it's not in the current armybooks or rulebooks, then it's not in the game.
The balance of the armys is getting disjointed by these "official" upgrades, which only promote odd armys??? ... Walts

Yes
The Scorpion Golgoth looks weak with only 14 Armour and 4 frame for a type 3 AFV....so dont think it will see much use at 700 AP
The Red Blok AFV are just weapon swaps, which were i remember sanctioned on the old Rackham forum.
And most people would agree that the RB need help.
the storm mammoth is also a straight weapon swap, trading accuracy...... for a slightly higher rate of fire and double damage.

I suggest we do a few play tests and if it helps the RB without overpowering them we go for it.
It might be the balance they need!
Personally I wouldn't buy the Storm Mammoth, the main weapon isn't what makes it a viable option.

Leadership up to now has been a bit naff but now zellak's aboard things will change.

I agree with Banksi, as long as wee play test the units before hand to find out whether they unbalance anything I don't see any problem with using them

Play test them first --- see if any "small" discrepancies pop up. If no major arguments I say let them be used!

Hi Gents,
Any other opinions on this?
I'm leaning towards the idea of a bit of play testing over the next couple of weeks. If anybody else can jump in and help out with this it will be greatly appreciated .
Cheers
