From the Frostbite book: Players have a new company and their existing units made upto 3,000AP's each.

Silly question for the day! ... Do the RP's won in wk3 on the battlefield pass over from Phase 1 (Wk3) to Phase 2 (Wk4) ... Quickly checked the rules with no real insight jumping out!!

Good point .....if lost troops dont have to be paid for....there could be a lot of MP to spend on Phase 2 (week 4.)

I think this is the way it should be. Will go and reread the Op Frost book.

Nice map ! biggrin

Can i suggest we change the defending company to a square or a triangle ...or something ?

And the access zones not in use that week could be dark blue as shown in legend ?
(ie north and south of starport / east of Mount Serenity /west and south of serenity city/south of caves of doubt/ north of Observation post)

I have some of the RP , but not final totals as some players wanted to keep their MP expenditure secret.

It says in the rules "Each surviving company receives reinforcements so it reaches 3000 ap" which I read as being free reinforcements. Everyone benefits so no advantage to anyone. Therefore MPs can be used for naughty deeds and dastardly doings. This is the Marxist interpretation and, by definition, the correct one. Need I say more? ;)

Should be a lot of points to spend in week 4 !

On another note......
Here is one me and Banksi have been knocking around.

Libra moving from Karman HQ to Caves of Doubt.
Mind moving from Caves of Doubt to Serenity City.

Do they fight a Concord Square battle ?
Although they are in the same access route....they are not moving in opposition to each other.

See Frostbite rules page 76.

Taken from the FB PDF ...

"If several enemy companies use the same access route or
if they must enter through the same access zone, they must fight a crossroads battle. All the companies involved play the
“Concord Square” battle. At the end of the mission the VP are only used to determine who is allowed to move into the
coveted sector, they are not added to the armies’ campaign total. The same way, RP are not turned into MP. Instead, they
are immediately spent to make up for the mission’s casualties. Depending on the circumstances, the company who
won the mission goes on to fight the battle in the sector it has reached.

A mission for each sector where there are companies belonging to opposing armies. This might mean a company will
have to play a second mission right after “Concord Square”.
"

... IMHO: Yes, they would have to fight. Any traffic in access routes, whether from HQ or sectors ... Walts

UNA moves :

Morningstar from CoD to Starport.

CentCom from HQ to CoD

Mind from CoD to Serenity City.

This move by the UNA means that they've given up the right off control for the Caves of Doubt, so no-one is "defender" and both UNA & Karman are attackers and enter from their respective access zones? ... Walts

Thats the way Banksi seen it too. I can go along with that....but at some point if an army gets hammered and all 4 of its companies comes out of HQ .

Then they could be stopped one after the other by a single enemy company. surprised No probs. happy

Aha ! ...remember we have changed the rules.

We are using written orders, whereas the rules as written are each army moves one company at a time.
i think that makes a difference. wacko then again maybe not. tongue
We agreed that Companies that owned a sector and moved in , got there before attackers.
So the moving defender was still the defender....even though they moved...confused ? cool

So the CentCom company is the defender. And only gets 1000 AP to start.
In fact there is no deployment zone in the caves of doubt...the defender always moves on.
But the defender can see in the dark (sector advantage), the attacker only if they have the detection ability.

Thanks for clearing that up Z! Guess that's why u want to control sectors and supply lines as quickly as possible that are near your HQ ... come out u cowards and fight!

Another tactic to the game ... pinning ALL the enemy companies at their HQ ... mmmm ... could be done!?

Be intersting to see a "Concord Battle" ... need to read the notes on that now! I'm actually having fun, there's more depth to this game than I every first imagined ... roll out the printing press comrades!!! Better watch out ... Red Blok's in the da' house! ... Lt Valts

Alien, Imperialist, Mercenery, Capitalist, Counter-Revolutionary sabotage. I'll get on it right away. Didn't think anyone was interested since it was all on the threads. Hey, even a Collectivist can be wrong. I'll have to indulge in a little self-criticism %).

Yes, those are the cards that are missing. I don't think there was anything else included. Also wanted to add that I think I agree with all the talk of Concord Square engaements etc but I'll probably read it again and change my mind. If it doesn't affect the Red Blok and gets the Alien, Imperialist, Capitalist, Mercenary conspirators at each others throsts who am I to complain. wink
