The Austrian forces of Schugtekm and Hoffmeister, have locked horns with the French forces of Jacquinot and Guiot as the rest of the Austrian force Weissenwolff pushes through to try and support Thierry in the woods. Here the Austrian Cavalry have failed to push back the French and are recalled after the fight.
