Hi z
Will we be keeping to the platoon formations in BA, i.e. two inf squads min, one "tank", one transport, one arty, one medic, one sniper ... sort of thing?
I would say there needs to be some control, but not 100% what,

Dont know.
It will only be a problem if some bampot wants to run an army with 2 super heavy tanks and 10 snipers.
As you can see i have 2 medium tanks.
So i have not followed the BA system...but neither did we when we played.....or me and Che either.
One tank is not enough, we are using 1500 AP and so we are assuming each player will bring more than one tank.
Also i have a FOO with 2 artillery barrages.
i would recommend we only allow 1 FOO but buy as many barrages as you want. imho
ps.. there is only six turns so no point in buying 7...in fact he cant call down on the turn he moves on the table...so no point in buying more than 5.
But one man at 500 AP is a bloody great target.

Quote zellak ( ) Dont know.

Yeah, the games have been fairly even with what we've fielded to date, but we can work on some guidelines for a platoon formation as we go along. Two tanks, Mech's, etc, are OK in my book ... even three (or more!) would be OK if we played larger battles.

Q: The FOO would only be able to have one deep-strike on the table at a time? Maybe have a one round penalty to call down the next/following strikes as a suggestion to control the table being flattened by space platforms wrecking everything?

Quote Morgoth ( ) Q: The FOO would only be able to have one deep-strike on the table at a time?
Aye...the FOO represents an officer from an artillery battery.
So he could only call one battery per turn, as he only commands one battery of guns....no ????

Nah, i wouldn't think so, having read recently about how quickly the WW2 Brit arty could change targets....Kurt "Panzer"Meyer's book was a great read.
Grenadiers....Michael Stackpole.
Recommend it to anyone looking for info on the Waffen SS.
It contains the only recorded "motorcycle charge" in WW2. ( also...did you know the Soviets had over 102,000 female snipers ! )
