Before the last game of AT-43 we had a discussion around which objective the Cog's AI unit had to be next to when creating a new type 1.
The thought at the time was it was either the primary objective or the secondary but not both!
If you compare the Cogs A.I. to the Therian creation there is an apparent disadvantage to the Cogs by using the above method, as the Therian do not need to have any objective near them to create a unit.
The Cogs A.I simply states "An Objective" it neither states nor specifies which objective.
From this I deduce that any objective may be used whether primary, secondary or trinary, as long as it has the word "objective" in it's title the Cogs can use it to create a unit.

Do you want a face to face meeting of all 6 Commanders to discuss this ?
Or would you be happy with an online vote ?

It's quite simple, the word is objective, it doesn't say anything else!!! Don't add words in the Cogs book that aren't there!!!
Simply I'm not willing to compromise on this one!
The Cogs wont work with those limitations your trying to make.
The Therian don't have the limitations.
Unless you want to remove the Cogs A.I. objective part.

Hi Guys
Just a thought ... aren't MedTec containers & engineers "objectives" ... so u could add one to your squad and get to use the ability as you please. Are you using engineers in your campaign?
I would say your right about "objectives" covering everything that falls into that category ... including engineers,
Walts

Better to do it face to face.
As a group we are NOT good at online debating.
Lets not take any risks with this campaign please.

Ok will say this once more
There is no debate and there will be no debate.
The Cogs book was written after Frostbite so the Author knew full well that there was two or more types of objectives.
He has not specified if it was to be one or the other so it is all of them.
Just like in the last campaign this issue with Crevices where the full content was not read properly " The 1/2 the base rule"
We are now adding words into the Cogs book that aren't there.
The only risk to the campaign is people miss reading rules.
Funny there were attempts to Nerf the Karmans and now the Cogs.
Enough said!!!

Fully Agree. If the writer of the Cogs book meant primary or secondary objective then he would have stated that in the book. If we keep nit picking and changing things because one army gets an advantage over another I a specific situation the we all might as well just give up playing the game with different armies and all use some generic army men that have no special abilities or rules, but i doubt even that would solve the problem.
Rant over.

Okay then, lets play it your way.
I'm unhappy about one player dictating to others.
But in the interests of the campaign, play it whatever way you want.

Sorry This is all probably my fault. I played the Cogs a couple of times and restricted myself to using secondary objectives. I didn't intend to start another controversy. Let's just go with Banksi and get on with it! Again, sorry for starting it all
