Humanity is at war with the technologically advanced Therians, a presumably robotic species bent on subjugating and transforming all planets for their ultimate purpose: the crafting of a "better", more organized universe under their rule, which they refer to as their "therian heaven".
Do you feel different to those around you but can't quite figure out how or why? Do you find strange things happening around you? Do unfamiliar and perturbing feelings come over you? Do you want help to come to terms with these new experiences?

General Tukachevski was a troubled man. He had just finished briefing the commanders of the two heavy companies he was sending to attack the Cogs and the Karmans. The problem he had was that they were both Odin-01 and Manon-02. Curse those scientists at Gencol; the copies were indistinguishable from the real thing. He couldn’t stop worrying that he had sent the two companies to the wrong fronts. Perhaps it would all turn out well. On the other hand… The other hand didn’t bear thinking about so he put it to the back of his mind.
A few days later reports started coming in from the battles. The revolution had been successful against the Karmans but he realised that his fears had been correct. The two companies had been sent to the wrong place but at least there was a victory so it wasn’t all doom and gloom. Tukachevski recalled an old Hadesian proverb, "Sometimes you are the firing squad and sometimes you are the counter-revolutionary” but he wasn’t sure where he stood in that equation.
A curious report came in from the Cogs front. It stated that battle had been joined but ended abruptly with no conclusion and in the middle of a sentence. Despite the best efforts of the communication personnel the company could not be contacted.
Shortly after this incident the commander on the Karman front attempted to get in touch with HQ but was unable to raise them.
Meanwhile in orbit…
Admiral Koslevski viewed the screen with a concerned look on his face. "What is that?” he turned to the science officer. "I do not know comrade admiral, I have never seen the likes of it before.” They continued to watch as a cloud seemed to envelope Maranos. Communications were blocked and as far as they could tell there was no movement on the planet. "It’s as if they are caught in a stasis field of some kind,” said the science officer uncertainly. "Whether it is natural or created is impossible to tell.”
Meanwhile in other fleets…
The commanders of all the fleets orbiting Maranos were faced with same thing and all were baffled. Each concluded that one of their enemies had built a new weapon and heads rolled in intelligence agencies throughout known space. For the time being it would seem that the universe was at peace of a sort.
