Here is the news read by Howie Kennedy
Thanks Bob; and the big news story today is the security van heist. Well, not really a heist more of a gift horse. It seems the van broke down or ran out of gas or something; details are sketchy. Whatever the reason the van came to a halt, slewed across the street and blocked the corner of Rosewood and Butterworth. The driver left the scene and is currently listed as missing. Boy do his employers want to find him!
Within minutes the streets were crowded with gangsters. Talk about flies around sh… Oops can’t go there. Let’s say moths around a flame and a few got burned. The estimated casualty level is three but that may well be an under estimate as details come in. The thieves got away with a large amount of undisclosed merchandise which is worth a considerable amount on the street. The owners of the van were reluctant to tell us what it was carrying. The police were nowhere to be seen.
In other news; violence again erupted on the streets of Gibsonville in the Projects area of the city. No one was injured, but passers-by were threatened. Again the police were conspicuous by their absence.
Finally, the weather; The recent acid rain showers are set to continue intermittently over the next few hours but will diminish. Tomorrow is set to be fine.
And now back to Bob for more happening sounds…
