Comrade Tukachevski opened the meeting by welcoming everyone and then inviting Comrade General Kutezov to give an update on the Black Fortresses Campaign on Elysee.
Kutezov: We are pushing forwards in the east where our forces currently control Ice Floe Oscar. We have managed to hold off determined assaults by the ONI mercenaries, although we have sustained more casualties than the enemy. It has to be admitted that the commanders on the ground have made some dubious decisions that have resulted in needless losses. On the other hand we are being outgunned and out manoeuvred by our opponents. We hold the ground at the moment but they are amassing more resources than us. It is only a matter of time before they have the advantage. On a more positive note, our revolutionary forces have advanced on the Abandoned Base. Initial intelligence suggests that we will be facing both ONI and alien imperialist Therian forces.
In the west the situation is less fluid. Our advance north was blunted by a UNA thrust towards the Restored Fortress. A copy of the report sent by Colonel Holdemov should have been passed to you all. As you see he also raises the issue of superior enemy fire power. It is my recommendation that steps be taken to remedy the situation.
